Our 2019-20 season:

Hello Again, September 13-November 3, 2019

Music, Lyrics and Book by Michael John LaChiusa

An adult musical fantasy suggested by Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde about a series of love affairs during each decade of the 20th Century. The characters crisscross beds while intimately examining the painful secrets that drive them into each other’s arms, toward the bruising effects of reckless passion.  “Mr. LaChiusa’s smart, beguilingly world weary work was the best original musical of the season…” NY Times

Working, December 6, 2019 – January 26, 2020

Book by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and others

Based on Stud’s Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, Working paints a vivid portrait of the men and women that the world so often takes for granted.  Nominated for six Tony Awards, this classic has been updated for the modern age with new songs by Tony Award winning Lin-Manual Miranda as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia and James Taylor.

Grey Gardens, March 6-April 26, 2020

Book by Doug Wright, Music by Scott Frankel and Lyrics by Michael Korie

The first Broadway musical to be based on a documentary, Grey Gardens is the hilarious and heartbreaking story of the aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.  Once bright names on the social register of Long Island, “Big Edie” and “Little Edie” Bouvier Beale became East Hampton’s most notorious recluses, but beyond portraying their eccentricities, this show is about their psychological struggle as mother and daughter.

Godspell, June 5-July 26, 2020

Music composed by Stephen Schwartz and book by John-Michael Tebelak

Prepare ye for the timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love based on the Gospel of St. Matthew.  With music and new lyrics by Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin) Godspell features a parade of beloved songs including "Day by Day", "All Good Gifts", "Save the People" and "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord" to bring Jesus' messages of kindness and tolerance vibrantly to life.
