The Most Happy Fella
March 10 - May 7
Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30pm & Sundays at 7pm
The Most Happy Fella is the “magnus opus” of theatre composer-lyricist Frank Loesser (best known for Guys and Dolls and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying). Based on Sidney Howard’s play, They Knew What They Wanted, the musical tells the story of Tony, a middle-aged Napa Valley vintner who makes a mail-order marriage proposal to Rosabella. She accepts the proposal on the mistaken assumption that the photo Tony sent along is of Tony, when it is in fact a picture of the young and handsome farm foreman Joe. Fred Anzevino directs and Jeremy Ramey provides music direction. All performances will be staged in the intimate No Exit Café, 6970 N. Glenwood Avenue in Rogers Park.
